There are many benefits of massage therapy. From reducing stress and anxiety, to decreasing pain and treating a variety of common conditions, it's no wonder that massage therapy has become increasingly popular over the years. But as anyone who has ever tried to find a good massage therapist knows, it's not always easy to get an appointment! And if you happen to live in Prince George, well, you might as well be searching for a unicorn.

• Ask around: If you have friends or family members who live in Prince George, ask them if they have any recommendations for massage therapists. Lots of massage therapists here don't seem to need much online presence to stay busy. But occasionally even these busy massage therapists will have openings, so if you ask around you might be able to find an appointment.
  
  
• Look online: Ok, I’m sure you’ve tried google. But any clinic that ranks well will likely already be all booked up. And new clinics can take a while to show up on Google - and once they do they might already be fully booked! But there are other places to look online that you might have success. Check out Facebook groups, Reddit forums and other places where people may be posting about Prince George. (We weren’t expecting to, but we got a lot of bookings off of Reddit!)
  
  
• Follow Facebook pages: It's not uncommon for clinics to post last minute openings. (Click here for our page)
  
  
• Book well in advance: If you need massage now but can't get in, chances are that you'll still need massage in a month or two. So book in advance to secure your spot! In the odd chance that you fully recover before then and don't need it, most clinics won't mind if you cancel your appointment the week before.
  
  
• And finally...Put yourself on the waitlist: Did you know that most online booking sites will allow you to put yourself onto the waitlist? In conclusion, finding a good massage therapist is never easy, and that's especially true if you live in Prince George. But don't let that discourage you. Remember that RMTs are often not great marketers, so if you search around, with a little bit of effort and persistence you might just find one. Oh, and when you do find, be sure to book your appointment (or a few) right away. After all, you never know when they might be be all booked up!
